Wuhan to the Cape
Born Xiangnan Wan in Wuhan, China, on 1 November 1994, Tony grew up all the way south in Cape Town, coming up through school in Rondebosch. A proper long-haul origin story.
Some people are good at one hard thing. Tony is quietly good at a pile of them at once: the actuarial exams, the founder's grind in crypto, the patience to sign off a teenager's pioneering project, and the discipline to be surfing, running or on a padel court while the rest of us are still asleep. This little corner of the internet is here to say so.

Springbok Project Evaluator
Deeply involved in Scouts, he evaluates Springbok pioneering projects, the big lashing-and-spar builds a Scout tackles on the way to South Africa's highest youth award. Someone has to make sure the tower actually stands up.
Lives in the Water
Tony surfs a lot. If the swell is up and it's early, that's where he is. Cape Town gives you cold water and world-class waves, and he takes the deal.
Friday Morning Miles
Most Friday mornings you'll find him running in Newlands, under the oaks and the mountain. A standing date with the road, rain or shine.
Padel & Tennis
When he's not on a board or on the road, he's on a court, playing padel and tennis. The man simply refuses to be indoors and still.
Most Chilled Dude
For all of the above, the thing people say first is that he's the most chilled dude around. Does a great deal, stresses about very little. A rare and enviable setting.
